Eftheman - Mrs. Lydia (Mae) Eftheman, 69, wife of Sam Eftheman of 2328 Birch St, Alton, died at 12:30 am Saturday at Alton Memorial Hospital, following an illness of three months. Before coming to the Alton area in 1943, she resided in Strong City, Kansas, where she was born March 18, 1900. Her parents were the late Mr and Mrs Murven Carrier. She was a member of the First Church of God, and affiliated with the Missionary Society. In addition to her husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Board and Mrs Louis McManis, both of Alton: five grandchildren: three greatgrandchildren: and a brother, Murven Carrier of Strong City. Visitation will be from 5 pm until 9 pm today at the Streeper Funeral Home, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Park.
