Frank Benson Dies of Illness --

Frank Benson of Belvidere, a retired farmer, died Tuesday at his home following a long illness. He was 81.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. the Rev. Carl Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Maxwell Cemetery.

Mr. Benson was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Methodist Church and Disabled American Veterans.

A native of Madison County, Alabama, he was born July 28, 1894. He was the son of the late Mary Miller Benson and George Benson.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Sally Benson; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Maxwell and Mrs. Lorene Thrasher, both of Belvidere; a sister, Mrs. Lula Campbell, New Market, Alabama; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
