Palma, Manuel Jesus 06/12/1931 ~ 08/25/2013 SAN DIEGO -- Manuel was born in El Paso, TX, and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He graduated from Venice HS in 1949, served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean War, earned a Architecture AS degree from Santa Monica City College and continued his studies at USC. He embarked on a 40 year career in commercial and residential design construction with many leading firms. Manuel was preceded in death by his 5 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Grace, and his 4 sons, Greg Palma (Eva), Mark Palma (Sabrina), Rowan Palma (fiance Shannon), and Darrow Palma, his grandchildren, Lydia, Brittany, Patrick, Christian, Colin, and Andres. A Viewing service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4th, at 10 a.m. at Clairemont Mortuary Chapel in San Diego followed by a graveside service which will begin at 1 p.m. at the Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive, SD, CA 92122. A reception will be held at the family residence in Escondido afterwards.
