Colleen McGuffin, age 96 of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in a local care center. She was born March 27, 1917 in Del Rio to Ambrose J. Davis and Margaret Agnus (Hunter) Davis.
Colleen was a 1934 graduate of Tivy High School, where she was also a cheerleader. In the 60's, she and her husband, Francis Lyle McGuffin, went to Johannesburg, South Africa to attend the South Africa Bible College. She was a member of Riverside Church of Christ.
Colleen loved to entertain, crafts, Texas history, genealogy work and was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her husband and survived by a loving church family.
Visitation will be held at Grimes Funeral Chapels on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 5-7 PM.
Graveside services will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 11 AM officiated by Kenneth Willis.
