William D Alexander, son of David Alexander and Amanda Stockard, married Jessie M Taylor on May 13, 1885 in Lancaster Co, Nebraska. They had three children: daughters Jessie Hazel Alexander, Dorothy T Alexander and foster son William Alexander.

According to Andreas' History of the State of Nebraska, Seward Co, Part 6, published in 1882, Wm D was proprietor and editor of the Seward County Democrat, a four-page seven-column circular, published at Milford, with a circulation of 450 copies.

Wm D died at Spirit Lake in Dickinson Co, Iowa on May 17, 1922 and was buried in Blue Mound Cemetery in Milford.
