ALEXANDER, ALLA

Alla Blanche Hutto Alexander, age 102, of Waco died Wednesday, February 20, 2002 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at Waco Memorial Park on Saturday, February 23, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Wells officiating.

Mrs. Alexander was born on January 31, 1900 in Cuero, Texas to Charles A. and Josephine Stevens Duren. Her family moved to Waco in 1912. She attended schools in Waco, graduating from Waco High School in 1918, and attended Baylor University. She married William B. Hutto in 1921. He preceded her in death in December of 1961. Later in life, she married Dr. Boyd Alexander who died in 1981.

Survivors include her niece Jency Blanche Nichols and husband Bill of Boerne; nephew Dr. W.D. Hunter and wife Margaret of Waco; sister Josephine Porter and husband Jack of Boerne and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Memorial may be made to St. Alban's Episcopal Church Building Fund.
