Life's Work/Service/Interests: Euzell attended Brigham Young University and received her degree in Elementary Education and Music. On December 20, 1952, she married Hoover Winfield Clark in the St. George Utah LDS Temple. Euzell and Hoover lived in Germany while he was serving in the United States Army and later, in France. While Hoover was finishing his Ph.D. at Syracuse University, Euzell taught elementary school music. She later taught elementary school in Spanish Fork, Salem and Orem. Euzell studied Voice at BYU, in San Francisco, Syracuse and Paris. Euzell was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many music callings during her life. She performed and taught Voice, and one of her greatest joys was to attend operas, plays and symphonies. She loved to hold recitals for renowned musicians in her home. People will remember Euzell as a cultured and elegant woman. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Euzell Tietjen Clark, of Provo, Utah, passed away Friday, October 3, 2003. She was 73.
Survived By: Her husband, Hoover, Provo; four children: Marilyn "Mert" Clark, Orem; Sheffer (Yvette) Clark, Springville; John (Liz) Clark, Pleasant Grove; Kendall Clark, Provo; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Jane, Roseanne; and brother, Maurice.
