DEATH: John Joseph Blackiston Rock Hall, Kent Co, married, born Mar 1 1847 age 65y 11m0d, born Kent Co parents James E. Blackiston born Kent Co and Mary E. Stevens born Kent Co, info. Julia C. Blackiston of Rock Hall, heart disease, died Feb 1 1913 at 4pm, always lived in Kent, merchant. Cert. 2094
OBIT: Rock Hall Notes Death of Mr. Blackiston, Mr. John J. Blackiston, long a prominent citizen and businessman of this section, died very suddenly on Saturday afternoon at his home. John was a fine neighbor, good citizen and a hustler in business. He had been in poor health for several years during which time his going in and out among us has been retarded, and everyone has missed him greatly. Besides his widow, two children, Columbus Blackiston and Mrs. Charles Crouch survive. Funeral services conducted by Elder Paap took place at S.D. at church on Tuesday afternoon in the presence of a large assembly.

Blackiston were married Oct. 15, 1871, John Joseph Blackiston and Julia Christianna Leary Adkinson were m. June 15, 1869, William T. Adkinson and Julia C. Leary were m. Jan. 4, 1863, George Leary m. Mary Ann Sims were m. Nov. 15, 1832."
