Served in the Confederate States Army, 44th North Carolina Infantry, Company "F". Killed in action at Bristoe Station, VA.

Parents: Littleton and Temperance (Williamson) Harris. Husband of Edith Caroline (Hopkins) Harris. Married: 1842 in Eldorado, Montgomery Co., NC. They had seven children.

NOTE: There is NO marker for him as his place of burial is from family records.
