Charles Square Wood, Surgeon, United States Army, was the Examining Surgeon of Recruit Drane. During May 1864 he was stationed at Catalina Island, Los Angeles County, California. During June 1865 he was on Detached Service with First Lieutenant and Regimental Quartermaster Mathew Sherman. Private Drane was discharged, with his Company, at Drum Barracks, Wilmington, Los Angeles County, February 19, 1866.
