Henry Harlan Dahl, 67, died Friday July 8, 2005.

Harlan was born February 28, 1938, in Milnor, ND, to Henry and Myrtle (Hermanson) Dahl. He was baptized at Milnor Lutheran Church as an infant and confirmed there in 1952.

Harlan attended elementary school through grade eight at Salund #5, Ransom County Schools in North Dakota. He attended DeLamere High School and graduated in 1956. He continued his education at Wahpeton Science School in Wahpeton, ND.

Harlan was employed in multiple occupations, including Income Tax preparation, construction, and following the grain harvest from Texas to North Dakota. He served as custodian for the St. Paul Cathedral in Minneapolis for many years. Upon retirement, he settled in Long Lake, SD, and lived there until his death.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and close friends Judy Littlewolf of Nauytawash, MN and Steven Jones of Minneapolis, MN.

He is his survived by three brothers and six sisters, Regena (Bob) Kaldahl of Hoyt Lakes, MN, Emily Ruth (Julian) Braaten of Kindred, ND, John Dahl of Paynesville, MN, Candy Malm of Park Rapids, MN, Marlys (Jim) Perry of Jamestown, ND, Helen (Ray) Osterman of Glendive, MT, Charles (Deb) Dahl of Dent, MN, Harold (Lisa) Dahl of Vergas, MN, and Carla Schultz of Perham, MN.

Harlan was a free spirit with many friends, he was a Big Brother to 9 siblings who will miss him and cherish his memory.

A Memorial Service is planned at the Vergas Park on Long Lake in Vergas, MN, at 10:00 A.M. July 23, 2005.
