Hans Rasmussen died at his home in Dexterville at 2:30 yesterday morning of hardening of the arteries, he being past 76 years of age. The funeral will be held at the house at 2 o'clock tomorrow, Thursday, and at the Danish church at Orum at 1:30, Rev. M. Halverson, of Omaha, officiating. Deceased was born in Findland, Denmark, Oct. 7th, 1841, and came to America in 1866. He settled first in Omaha, coming later to the farm in Lincoln township that was his home until 21 years ago when he moved to this city. He was married to Martha Christensen 46 years ago and two sons, Rasmus and Chris, both of the Orum neighborhood, were born to them. Also four daughters, Mrs. Chris and Mrs. Richard Nielsen, of Orum; Mrs. Carl Jensen of Denver, who has been here for the past week; and Laura who lived with her father. Mrs. Rasmussen died November 20th, last year.
