Mrs. Garner was a life- long resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Mrs. Garner worked at Sears as a cashier for fifteen years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. Mrs. Norma will always be remembered for her faith and trust in God. She was a strong lady that loved the Lord and therefore loved people. She was a kind and loving person. Mrs. Garner loved the time she spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of forty-nine years Mr. Carroll "Jim" Garner of Lake Charles, LA, daughter-in-law, Jennifer Garner, one grandson, Collin Garner, two granddaughters, Emily and Shelby Garner, two nieces, Sherri De Marco and Lisa Price of Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, one son, Nathan Garner, two sisters, Margaret Hooper and Ethel Buckner.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne McEntire will officiate. Burial will be in the New Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff, Louisiana. Visitation will begin on Monday at 8:30 AM until the time of services.
