Birth: 1st of five known children to a Hungarian immigrant father in Saint Louis city, Missouri.

Census: 1880, age 12 Carthage, Jasper county, Missouri with parents & four siblings on Lyon street, father superintendent of a coal mine.

Census(kansas): 1895, age 28, Pittsburg, Crawford county, Kansas with wife & two daughters, a coal dealer.

~ mother dies and is interred at Carthage with two children.

Census: 1900, age 32 Omaha, Douglas county, Nebraska with wife & three daughters at 3806 Seward, sales agent for coal company.

Census: 1910, age 42 Nineveh township, Adair county, Missouri with wife & five children, operator of coal mine.

~ Father dies in 1912, body cremated, and still, after more than one hundred years, remains at Valhalla cemetery & crematory in Saint Louis, Missouri awaiting to be interred.


~ ~ GREAT NEWS, Received word Tuesday, September 23, 2014 that a 2nd great,granddaughter of Raphael's has picked up her husband's 102 year unclaimed Cremains from Valhalla Funeral Chapel, Crematory and Cemetery in Saint Louis prior to the planned internment at Jefferson Barracks cemetery on Veterans Day by the Missing in America Project of unclaimed cremains and she wants then interned next to his wife, buried 115 years ago, with two of their five children, her 2nd great,grandmother in Park cemetery, Carthage, Missouri.

It appears that a gala affair will accompany the placing of his 102 year past due vertical Civil War headstone for this most honorable Union veteran, next to his wife following being unclaimed for 102 years in a Saint Louis crematory and 115 years after he buried his wife.

Census: 1920, age 54 Macon, Macon county, Missouri with wife & two children at 611 Vine, wholesaler of coal.
