In 1940 U. S. Federal Census, Alva Clair [McKinzey] and Rhoda Bell Aikins owned and operated both a gasoline station and grocery store in Goshen, Lane County, Oregon. They were also living in the small town which lies about 5 miles south of Eugene on Highway 99, Interstate Highway 5 and the railroad passes through the town headed for points south and California.
