ABBOTT Rose J.
Died suddenly this morning at her home on Main Street, Sugar Grove. She was carrying a pail of milk into house from the porch when she collapsed. Born in Sugar Grove, member of Methodist Episcopal Church. Survived by two sons, Frank T. Abbott, Sugar Grove and William P. Abbott, Cleveland, OH. Two brothers, Robert Barrett, Skidmore, MO and James B Barrett, Hot Springs,
ARK; five grandchildren. Services were held from the Methodist Church, Rev. m. H. Parry officiating. Burial in Turnpike Cemetery.
Roselah Barrett was the eighth child of Edmund and Matilda Barrett. She was born on January 9, 1853. She married Ernest F. Abbott and never joined with the rest of her brothers and sisters when they all moved to Missouri. "Rose" and Ernest had five children, James, b. 1878 d. 1883, Gertrude b. 1882 d. 1883, Frank b. 1884 who married Olive Rexford, Wesley, b. 1885, married Katherine Castle, and William, b. 1888, who wed Florence Krum. Rose died in 1933.
