Daisy E. Acock was born near Osceloa, Neb., to Andrew and Henrietta (Herrick) Davis. At the age of 4, she moved with her parents to an area near El Reno, Okla, then Indian territory. She attended schools in Racine County, Okla., near Piedmont.
She married Robert Acock on Aug. 13, 1905, at Piedmont. They moved to Morrisville, Mo., in 1913 and to Parsons in 1923 from Fairgrove, Mo. He died May 3, 1947.
Mrs. Acock and her husband operated a lock shop in Parsons and later she worked for the Parsons Sun and the Brooks Linen Supply. She was a longtime active member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: three daughters, Opal Brooks of Parsons, Isabelle Rhodes of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Myrtle Brasher of Grass Valley, Calif,; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Three brothers; five sisters; four sons, Ernest, Rudolph, Kenneth and Vennie; and a daughter, Vernita Powell, preceded her in death.
