Lee Roy Faulkner, age 79, of Morgan, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011. He was born in Boston, Kentucky, on October 15, 1932, the son of the late Walter and Effie Adams Faulkner. He was a member and deacon of Roanoke Christian Church. He was a Kentucky Colonel, retired from the Kentucky Division of Forestry, was a Pendleton County magistrate for nine years and was a United States Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by: three brothers, Ray Faulkner, Walter (Outie) Faulkner and Eugene Faulkner; and three sisters, Rosemary Hendricks, Audrey Hargett and Elizabeth Pleasant. Survivors include: his wife, Dottie Marksberry Faulkner, of Falmouth; two sons, L.R. (Darlene) Faulkner, of Falmouth, and Steve (Michelle) Faulkner, of Falmouth; a sister, Joyce (Phillip) Daniels, of Falmouth; four grandchildren, Brad (Niki) Faulkner, Craig (Danielle) Faulkner, Tyler Faulkner and Jordan Faulkner; and three great-grandchildren, Cash Faulkner, Kaitlyn Faulkner and Easton Faulkner.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, at Peoples Funeral Home, in Butler. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, also at the funeral home. Lee Roy's final resting place will be at Morgan Cemetery, in Pendleton County. Memorials are suggested to: Hospice of the Bluegrass, 7388 Turfway Road #202, Florence, Kentucky 41042; Roanoke Christian Church, 3205 Gumlick Road, Falmouth, Kentucky 41040; or Morgan Cemetery, 88 Morgan Berry Road, Falmouth, Kentucky 41040.
