Columbia - David Etheridge Sr., 83, retired contractor, died Wednesday at a Charleston Hospital. The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais St. Chapel. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Baptist Churchyard at Cordova. Mr. Etheridge was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late Charles and Mrs. Mary Myers Etheridge. Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Dollie Creal Etheridge of Columbia; five daughters, Mrs. Chester Taylor and Mrs. R. M. Baker, both of Charleston, Mrs. J. S. Blewer of Cordova, Mrs. T. E. Graham of Columbia and Mrs. Jasper Jeffers of Glace, W. Va.; two sons, Paul Etheridge of Bowman and David Etheridge of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Virginia Hair of Beaufort.
