Betty J. Rich
GRIDLEY - The funeral of Betty J. Rich, 81, of Gridley will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Gridley Apostolic Christian Church. Ministers of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Froelich Memorial Home, Gridley, and for one hour before the service Saturday at the church.
Miss Rich died at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 1, 2002) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
She was a member of the Gridley Apostolic Church, to which memorials may be made.
She was born June 30, 1921, in Gridley.
Survivors include a nephew, Dean Rich, Naples, Fla.; two nieces, Paula Ann Medor, Springhill, Fla.; and Cindy Kay Rudin, Apple Valley, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Finck Rich, Naples, Fla.; and 12 remaining cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ollie Rich, and a brother, Kenneth.
Miss Rich was a graduate of the Freed Country School. For a number of years she and her mother cared for many Gridley children in what now would be referred to as day care.
