'C. A. Peterson Sr. Dies; Services Set For Monday'

Carl A. Peterson Sr., 53, 3085 Hoffman Circle NE, died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday in Trumbull Memorial Hospital, following several days of illness. Born April 6, 1916, in North Bloomfield, he was the son of Louis and Mary Barnes Peterson. A resident here five years, he was employed as a machine assembler by Wean Industries Inc. He was formerly in the automobile business here. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Western Reserve Lodge 507, F & AM of West Farmington and Scottish Rite Valley of Youngstown.

Survivors include his wife, Alyce Pachuk Peterson, whom he married in 1936; two sons, Carl A. Jr. of Cortland and Eric A. of Warren; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Kathryn) Porelle of Arlington, VA, Mrs. Lyle (Nancie) Williams of North Bloomfield; a brother, Louis A. of Champion; four sisters, Mrs. Ray (Ethel) Young of Howland, Mrs. Leland (Mary) Moore of Warren, Mrs. Albert (Florence) Rudkin of Dayton, Mrs. Lynn (Alma) Young of Bellefontaine and 10 grandchildren. Two brothers, Irvin and Earl preceded him in death.

Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the McFarland and Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Brownwood Cemetery, North Bloomfield. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Western Reserve Lodge will conduct services at 9 p.m. Sunday.
