ADAMIAK JOHN S. Age 91, of Scott Township, on August 12, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Eileen (Cannon) Adamiak; loving father of John K. (Patty) Adamiak of Hilton Head Island, SC, Patrick (Janet) Adamiak of Saratoga, CA, Janice (Tom) Ohmura of Cleveland, OH, Carol Kelly of Scott Township, and Ann (Drew) Desher of Alpharetta, GA; proud grandfather of Patrick John (Jessica), Jessica, Katie, Ryan, Jackie, David, Rachel, Collin, Kaley, Joseph and Rosaleen. John served in the 3rd Army in special operations under General Patton during WWII in the European Theater. John received four Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart Medal, and attended the University of Pittsburgh on the GI bill. John spent 34 years with the steel industry engineering design firms Wean United and Siemens where he became known as "The Go-to-Guy" and where he developed many innovative engineering designs and solutions to difficult problems. Friends will be received at KYPER FUNERAL HOME, 2700 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116 on Monday, August 17, 2015, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in Sts. Simon & Jude Church, 1625 Greentree Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15220 on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 509 Washington Rd., Pgh., PA 15228.
