Grace Hollingsworth taught school at Johnson #2 in Wells County, North Dakota in the 1920's. She had attended McPhail School of Music and enjoyed directing musical and dramatic programs for her students. After she stopped teaching school, she continued to coach students for declamation and music contests. Grace was a member of the Sykeston Women's Club in Sykeston, North Dakota where she gave readings and sang solos. She also enjoyed writing poetry. Grace, along with her husband, Claude, and daughter, Donna Jean, moved to California in the 1940's.
