S/Sgt. Oscar F Dyson and SSgt. Frederick H Dillingham perished aboard the glider C-60A Lodestar #42-32222, and 2nd Lt. Raymond E Ford, were killed on the towing transport airplane, when a spar on the glider broke, folding over the port wing, and stalling and dragging down both craft and crashing onto the plains.
