She graduated from Porter High School in 1935. On May 15, 1938 she married Russell H. Adams in Ogunquit. In 1941 They built a house together and remained there until 2008 when she moved into Huntington Commons. Flora was a hard worker who always made friends wherever she worked. Her favorite job however, was being a wife mother and grandmother. She loved children and her home was always filled with her children and grandchildren. Her love throughout life was to have her family, and their friends, around her home. She was also a 50 plus tear member of the Ogunquit Baptist Church.She is preceded in death by her Husband Russell Adams (in 1981), her parents, two brothers, Stillman and Edward Pierce, three sisters, Mildred Hammond, Elizabeth Peniuk, and Olivia Pierce. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Sydlowski of Windham and Susan L'Heureux and her husband Jim of North Berwick, and a son Duane R. Adams and his partner Rosemary Swan of Berwick; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday August 21 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ocean View cemetery in Wells. Arrangements are in the care of the Johnson Funeral Home 26 Market St. North Berwick.
