Son of William Bascom Booth and Margaret A. Patrick. Husband of Gertie Mae Channell.

William Oscar Booth, Sr., 70, of 1622 Alaca Place, died last night in Druid City Hospital.

He formerly served as manager of Sumter Farm and Stock Co. Stores until his retirement 10 years ago. Since then he has been an automobile dealer. Mr. Booth was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Rosedale Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. Military rites will be conducted at graveside.

Surviving are his wife; a son, William O. Booth, Jr. of Tuscaloosa; a daughter, Mrs. Bennie Crockett of Jackson, Miss.; a sister, Mrs. Robert Brown of Tuscaloosa; his mother, Mrs. W. B. Booth of Tuscaloosa; a brother, Leonard Booth of Fosters, and 10 grandchildren.

Active pallbearers are Harry Patrick, Homer Patrick, Bert Skelton, Allen Booth and James and Chester Booth.
