Mattie Van Mason, age 92, of Lewisville, Texas and former resident of Memphis, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at her home. Mattie Van was looking forward to being with her Savior. She was born August 14, 1921 in Memphis to Van Nunnery and Ruth Sharp Nunnery. Mattie was a member of Lakeland Baptist Church in Lewisville and former member of Bellvue Baptist Church in Memphis. She worked in the administration office of the Shelby County Board of Education. Mattie is survived by her children, two sons and one daughter; five grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
