SARAH HAPTONSTALL
Sarah Grace Haptonstall, daughter of James A. and Margaret Fuson Campbell was born August 24, 1890 in Nucholls County, Nebr., and died June 2, 1973 at the Gardner Community Medical Center, Gardner, Kans., at the age of 82 years.
She was united in marriage to Clarence Marquis Haptonstall Sept. 23, 1906 and to this union five children were born.
For many years they lived on their farm north of Republic. Upon retiring in 1950, they moved to Byron and after her husband's death she lived at Gardner.
She was a member of the Loyal Workers Sunday School class of the First Christian church of Olathe and the Morning Grange 227 of Spring Hill, Kans.
Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; infant daughter, Betty Lee; sisters, Effie and Emma; brother, Wesley.
Survivors are; son, J.C. and wife Blanche of Wray, Colo.; daughters Florence Mohrman and husband, Herman of Byron; Lenna Brunk and husband, Clarence of Gardner, Norma Jean Fitzgerald and husband, Robert of Granville, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Swinney of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Beulah Heisz of Mankato; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral home June 5 conducted by Rev. Hershel C. Dugan. Interment was in Lake cemetery near Republic.
