OBITUARY:
George E. Rich
GRIDLEY - (PNS) - George E. Rich, 51, was found dead Tuesday morning in a hotel room at Pekin, of pneumonia.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Froelich Memorial Home, and at 1:30 p.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church, with the Rev. Joe Klopfenstein officiating. Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He was born April 8, 1906, in Gridley, the son of Joseph S. and Katie D. Slagell Rich.
Surviving are six brothers, Alvin, Silas, Theodore and Elmer, Gridley; Roy, Chenoa; Simon, Crown Point, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Heinold, Kouts, Ind.; Miss Ollie, Gridley; Mrs. Lucille Davis, Pontiac. His parents preceded him in death.
