Early Life: Don was born September 23, 1924, in Price, Utah, to Thomas Elwood and Gertrude Americus Robinson Anderson.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Don was a United States Navy veteran and honorably served in the European and Pacific Theaters during World War II from 1943 until 1946. After returning from the military, Don married his high school sweetheart, Rhea Cox. They were married August 2, 1946, and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. After briefly living in Price, Utah, Freemont, California and Monticello, Utah, they settled and raised their family in Tooele, Utah. He spent 20 years with Cream O'Weber Dairy and another 20 years with Tooele Army Depot as a millwright before retiring. One of his great enjoyments, for many years, was working and teaching at the Tooele Depot craft shop. You could always find him tinkering and building things in his garage. Don exemplified patience, generosity, humility and selfless devotion to his family, community, and church. Don is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He will always be remembered for his strong but gentle hands, compassionate and sure, firm but loving. Loving father, husband, grandpa, brother and friend, Donald Warren "Don" Anderson, peacefully passed away at home, August 16, 2013, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was 88.
Survived By: His eternal companion, Rhea; sons: Donald R. (Joan), Eric M. (Nicole), Paul D. (Cynthia) Anderson; daughter, Julie M. Theriault (Ted Gressman); 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and extended family.
Preceded In Death By: His parents, brother, Nathan K. and sister, Mary V. Machado.
Family Message: "We commend his spirit to our Father in Heaven and anticipate the day we will rejoin him again. . . together forever."
