In 1897, Alice passed away at age 54 and was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, where her husband was also laid to rest in 1918.
Some of those she was survived by--
her husband F.B. Reckard, daughter Florence Reckard Roovaart and husband Frank H Roovaart, two grand daughters Hazel and Margaret, and younger sister Annie M Nugent. [Annie M Nugent married Lieutenant Frances Brown "Frank" Reckard, her older sister's widowed husband, on 29 Dec 1898 in Chicago, Illinois.]
