Well Known Farmer died last Friday
Andrew Hodge Passed Away at Home in Scotland Neighborhood
Funeral Services were held at Scotland Church on Sunday morning -- burial in the Scotland Cemetery

Andrew Hodge, 82 years of age, one of the best known farmers of Clinton county, passed away at his home in the Scotland neighborhood in Jackson township Friday afternoon. Death was the result of a two weeks illness with the infirmatives incident to old age.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 o'clock Sunday morning at the Scotland church. Rev. Gurnie Wood of Darlington, officiated and interment was made in the Scotland cemetery.

Andrew Hodge was born in Jackson township September 13, 1838 the son of James and Mary Anne Hodge. In 1861 he was united in marriage to Sarah E. Bennett, of Boone county. The widow is now seriously ill at the residence.

Besides the widow, three children survive. They are Mrs. Theodosie Neeves, of Kirklin; Perry Hodge Living at home, and Charles living near Frankfort. One brother, Thomas of Indianapolis and two sisters, Mrs. Leah Bennett and Mrs. George Mundell both of this county also survive.

The deceased as well and favorably known throughout the entire county and his passing will cast a shadow over the whole community.
