Mrs. Mintie Smith, 91, of Rt. 3, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at her residence.
She was born Oct. 24, 1873, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late George W. and Vilena Simons Snider.
Surviving are three sons, Russell Smith, Rt. 1, Horner, Wilson Smith and Harold Smith, both of Rt 3; two daughters, Mrs. Ocie Smith, Rt. 1, Horner, and Mrs. C.D. (Clara) Taylor, Weston; one brothre, Ira Snider, Buckhannon; 16 grand children, and 26 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the Mt. Olive Church and had resided in Weston for the past 24 years.
On Oct. 24, 1894, she was married to Hanson Smith.
Friends may call at the Stainaker Funeral Home, inWeston, after 7 p.m Wednesday. Funeral services Friday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m. at the Stainaker Funeral Home with Rev. M.C. Browning officiating Intermant in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
