Owen Edmond Boswell, 77, of Roy, died Wednesday, May 11, 1977, at his home of a heart attack.
Mr. Boswell was born April 14, 1900, in Nephi, Utah, a son of Sylvester and Rosella Rowley Boswell.
He was married to Millie Rebecca Fifield in Logan. They were later divorced. He was married to Ethel Starkey Christiansen on August 24, 1942, in Evanston, Wyoming.
He had worked for the maintenance department at Hill Air Force Base for 28 years before retiring in 1970.
He served with the Army in World War II and moved to Roy in 1942.
He was a high priest and home teacher in the Roy 17th LDS Ward, and had been a temple worker.
Surviving are his widow of Roy; one son and two daughters, Darrell Eugene Boswell of Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Roy (Aris) White of Globe, Arizona; Mrs. Farrell (Darla) Sorensen of Orem, Utah; two stepsons and two stepdaughters, Clarence Christiansen, Mrs. Delbert (Verlene) Pence, both of Roy; LeRoy Christiansen of Hooper; Mrs. Anthony (Thelma) Corravo of Michigan City, Michigan; 30 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers and on sister, Melvin Boswell, Volney Boswell, both of Salt Lake City; Loren George Boswell of Midvale; Mrs. Lavelle Gardner of Phoenix, Arizona.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Don Rundquist of the Roy 17th Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday prior to services. Interment in the Roy City Cemetery.
