Marie J. VanMeter, age 78, of Maysville, WV, died Tuesday,
November 2, 1999 at her home.
Born August 26, 1921 in Jordan Run, WV, she was the daughter
of the late Daniel G. and Nida E. (Turner) Nesslerodt
Brotherton.
Mrs. VanMeter and her husband were ordained Pentecostal
Ministers and were pastors of the House of Prayer in
Maysville for several years. She was a personal care
provider for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L.
VanMeter, November 15, 1997. Also preceding her in death
were two brothers, Coles Nesslerodt and Warren Nesslerodt.
Surviving are one son, Kenny VanMeter of Maysville, WV; one
sister, Tomasenia Ours of Maysville, WV; two grandchildren,
Matthew VanMeter of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Ashley VanMeter
of Maysville, WV.
Funeral services were conducted Friday at the Schaeffer
Funeral Home, Petersburg, WV with the Rev. Joseph D. Eversole
officiating.
Burial was in the Turner Family Cemetery, Jordan Run Road,
Maysville, WV
