Oral Alvin Bullock, son of Oakley Ames Bullock and Lola Anna Kaufman Bullock, was born February 6, 1911 in Bagley and died Wednesday, December 28, 2005 in Perry at the age of 94.

Born and raised in Bagley, Oral attended school there, graduating high school with the class of 1928. On December 24, 1934, Oral was united in marriage to Wilma Dubes. They were the parents of two children, Orval and Karen. The family made their home in Bagley. With his brother Lloyd, Oral was co-owner and operator of Bullock Garage and Trucking for 40 years. Wilma passed away in 1973.

On August 2, 1975, Oral married Frances Duncan. The couple remained in Bagley until Frances' death in 1996. Oral then moved to Perry.

Oral was a lifelong member of the Bagley United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Lions Club.

Oral was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wilma; his wife Frances; and his brother Lloyd.

He is survived by his son, Orval (Linda) Bullock of Hendersonville, NC; his daughter Karen (John) Scisco of West Des Moines; five grandchildren, Rick (Tracy) Holmes, Kevin (Aimee) Holmes, Karla Bullock Nelson, April (Randy) Gerke, and David (Gina) Bullock; 10 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Zelma Bullock of Perry; other relatives and many friends.
