Jean Goodson Rogers, 84 of Kingsport, passed away at home with her family by her side on Monday, August 19, 2013. She was born January 1, 1929 in Hawkins County, TN to the late John and Debbie Goodson. She attended Milligan College and sang in their choir. Jean spent most of her life in Kingsport and was a member of the Kingsport SDA Church.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Blevins Rogers.
Her survivors include her daughter: Denise Rogers Spalding and husband, Dr. Stephen Spalding of Chattanooga, and daughter: Alice Rogers Gibson and husband, Phillip Gibson of Duffield, VA; grandchildren: Alexandra and Nicholas Spalding of Chattanooga and Destiny Gibson of Duffield, VA.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Highland Cemetery, Rogersville; with Dr. J. Edward Clevinger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Grace Covenant Church, P.O. Box 7532, Kingsport, TN 37664
