Phila Pike Yeakey and her husband John Yeakey were in the 1850 Census for Noble Co., IN. They probably died shortly thereafter and were probably buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. This homemade gravestone says MOTHER and has the Yeakey name. It is not known who this Yeakey was. There is a GAR marker by the gravestone. It is doubtful that this female was in the Civil War, but John and Phila Yeakey had several sons who were in the Civil War. Perhaps one of the sons placed small stones in the cement and made the marker at a later time.

Inscription

This could possibly be the marker for Catharine Fillmore Yeakey, the GAR Marker could be for her husband Andrew Jackson Yeakey, he was in the Civil War. Death records indicate they are buried at this cemetery
