Doris Irene Wasser McMillan, 81, of Salem, formerly of Brownstown, died at 8:25 a.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Twin Willows Nursing Center, Salem.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Gieseking-Claggett Funeral Home, Brownstown with Jim Dann officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service on Saturday. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
She was born on February 7, 1931 in Vandalia, IL the daughter of Earl and Clara (Hubler) Wasser. She married Donald McMillan in 1951 and she had been a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, David (Janet) McMillan of Salem, daughter, Deborah (Dale, Jr.) Boatman of Salem, Brothers; Ed Wasser of Phoenix, AZ, Jim (Iris) Wasser of Vandalia, Dale (Kay) Wasser of Vandalia, Sisters; Betty Lawson of Rochelle, IL and Kay Goldberg of Chicago, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
