Theresa Marine Brown was the loving and devoted wife of Benjamin Brown, the mother of Cora Elizabeth Brown. She was also the grandmother of Edward Warren Gates, III, and his late brother David Gates. Theresa Marine was the mother-in-law of Ethel Ellen Gates and the my great-grandmother. There isn't much to tell here, as I was 5 years and 9 months when she passed in September, 1965. She would be the first to be buried at Rosehill/Rosedale Cemetery. My father would follow in February, 1982 and my mother in February 1991. From what I remember of my GG, was that she was a loving and sweet woman, who allowed me to eat strawberries, and would give me children's books for my mother to read to me before I went to sleep. Her nickname was 'Tressie', which was also my mom's personal nickname for me, although my father nicknamed me Terry from the minute I entered into this world. RIP grandma. I love you.
