TEXAS CITY — A.B. Trotter peacefully fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday, August 29, 2007, in Texas City.

Bro. Trotter was born October 2, 1935, in Natchitoches Parish, Natchitoches, Louisiana to the late Clouthier Trotter and Hattie Park Trotter.

He was a resident of Texas City for over 20 years, was employed with Schwarz Iron as a welder for 10 years; and was a member of Greater Barbour’s Chapel Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Eddie Roy Trotter.

He is survived by four faithful brothers, Y. D. Trotter, Clouthier Trotter, Jr., Ackie Trotter and Haywood Trotter all of Texas City; one loving sister, Heather Redford of San Diego, California; two sisters-in-law, Ruby and Shirley Trotter; one brother-in-law, Leon Redford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. today, Thursday, September 6, 2007, at Greater Barbour’s Chapel Baptist Church, 7420 FM 1765 in Texas City with The Home Going Celebration beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. James E. Brown, Sr., pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock under the direction of Mainland Funeral Home of La Marque.
