Elvira was married first to a gentleman by the name of John T. G. Leavitt on April 30, 1850. He died on December 1, 1881. Elvira remarried Augustus Hodgkins on April 18, 1883 only a few months after his wife had passed away.
She was predeceased by 3 of her children with Mr. Leavitt. Charles, Alice and Clara. Maybe Martha as well.
