Mrs. Bickel, 34, Of Arcola Dies

ARCOLA, Ill. -- Mrs. Doris June Bickel, 34, of Arcola, died about 6 p.m. Wednesday at Carle Hospital, Urbana. She had been ill about six weeks.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Shrader funeral home, Arcola, with Rev. Don Lanier officiating. Burial will be in the Arcola cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Bickel was born July 1, 1925 in Arcola, the daughter of Troy and Ethel Bright. She married Charles Bickel Jr., on April 24, 1948. She and her husband resided in the Arcola area all their lives. Mrs. Bickel was a member of the Arcola Christian Church.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Jeff, 8, and a daughter, Tina, 6; brothers, Pete Bright, Tuscola; Harry, Peoria; Russell, Phoenix, Ariz.; Earl, Arcola, and Lloyd, Peoria; sisters, Mrs. Lucille Donley, Toledo; Mrs. Ethel Welch, Pontiac, Mich.; Mrs. Leah Vice, Connorsville, Ind.; Mrs. Sadie McLane, Pontiac, Mich., and Mrs. Rilda Ghere, Arcola.
