Mrs. Mabel (Viola) Hawkins, 64, died Monday at the Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, after a long illness. Born June 6, 1907, in Loyal, Okla. She was married to Glenn Hawkins July 22, 1928, at Chickasha, Okla. She lived here since 1954.
She was a member of the Methodist Church, Loyal, Okla.; Southwest Medical Center Auxiliary, Liberal.
Survivors include the widower; son, Glen, Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Mrs. Robert Long, Torence, Calif.; Mrs. Howard Evans, Oakland, Calif.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Campbell-Kitch Funeral Home, Liberal; Rev. Vern Livengood. Burial will be in Liberal Memorial Gardens Cemelery. Friends may call until service time at the funeral home.
