Obit from Mueller's Funeral Home

Doyle J. Crane, my papa, went onto a better life on December 26, 2006 surrounded by family and friends after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.

Doyle met his love, Sylvia, and they were married in 1952. The two began their family soon having a son, Tom in 1953 and a daughter, Sherry in 1957. Pops loved working as an Iron worker, working on several dams and then added a daughter, Trina in 1969. In 1973 the family moved to the Tri-Cities where papa worked at several sites at Hanford.

In 1985 he retired and with his wife they started a small car lot. Papa loved spending time with his family especially his great grandchildren.

Papa leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law, Tom & Lylene Crane; daughter, Sherry Woodrome and daughter and son-in-law, Trina Chandler and Dan Handsford; granddaughter, that he helped raise, Cindy, whose husband is Tommy. Grandchildren, Haley, Mitch & Precilla, Angela & Robert, Kellie & Richard, Robin; ten great grandchildren.

Pops is preceded in death by his love, Sylvia Crane, three brothers and son-in-law, Dwayne Chandler.

Special thanks to all of the Hospice employees who helped Doyle through this final journey.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tri-Cities Hospice House, 2108 W. Entiat in Kennewick.
