She was born February 20, 1928 in Seattle. In 1944, she married Harry A. Belanger and they shared 62 years together. Their first 20 years Harry served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Allene was a very proud military wife. Harry passed away in 2006.
She was very talented in making ceramics, sharing her expertise with family and friends for over 50 years. For many years she was a sales lady with a local drug and sundry company. Harry and Allene loved to travel the U.S. in their RV, and spent many years at their Lake Limerick property with wonderful friends and family.
Survivors include four children: Diane, Sharon Chafin (Albert), Harry Jr. (Karey) and David; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Also, her sister Karlene Daniels, and brother Karl Hillquist.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 12 noon, Bonney-Watson, Washington Memorial Park, SeaTac, WA.
There will be a celebration of Allene's life at Boulevard Park Place, 2805 S. 125th St., Burien, WA at 2:00 pm after the service.
Remembrances may be made to the USO Northwest, 1708 Int'l Blvd., PMB 313, Seattle, WA 98158, or The Salvation Army.
