Tharon K. Dille, 93, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2013. He was born June 17, 1920 to George H. and Rose K. Dille in Rexburg, Idaho. He grew up on a farm in Wendell Idaho and graduated from Wendell High School. He attended LDS Business College before joining the army where he proudly served in the South Pacific during WWII. After an honorable discharge, he enrolled in a watch repair college in Los Angeles and then moved back to Wendell to open his own jewelry store.

He married his Sweetheart, Anna Luttmer, on January 20, 1951. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were rarely apart and always holding hands. They moved to Utah in 1953 where Tharon began work at HAFB as an instrument repairman. After retiring from HAFB, Mom and Dad spent the next 25 years in LDS church service. They served four full time missions, nine service missions and four Stake missions. They were instrumental in 48 baptisms.

He loved to dance and play games, and was very proud of the beautiful garden he tended and generously shared every year. He loved spending time with family and was a great example of patience, love and compassion to everyone. Tharon has six children, 24 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Elsa (Dale) Zweifel, Clinton, UT; Linda (Greg) Sanders, Kaysville, UT; Annette (Jim) Beazer, Lawton, OK; Kim (Carol) Dille, Kaysville, UT; Brent Dille, Clinton, UT and Diana (Curtis) Simmons, Syracuse, UT. He is also survived by one brother, Lewis Dille, of Burley, Idaho and a sister, Vivian Bray, of Twin Falls, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, six brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville East Stake Center, 201 S. 600 E., Kaysville. Friends may visit family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
