THE TIMES RECORD, TROY, N.Y., WEDNESDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 21, 1942:
Funeral services for William Whitney, retired farmer, who died Monday at the Leonard Hospital, were conducted today at 2 p.m. at the Burns Funeral Home, 1445 Broadway, Watervliet. Mr. Whitney is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Proper Whitney, two daughters, Mrs. John Finley of Troy and Mrs. Albert Schubert of Schenectady; three sons, Frederick Whitney of Green Island, Charles Whitney of Troy, and Arthur Whitney of Schaghticoke; three stepdaughters, Mrs Fred Fountain of Troy, Mrs. L. Woolf of Eagle Mills and Mrs. William Austin of Stillwater and 14 grandchildren.
