Mildred was the third child of John J Beers and older daughter with his wife, Frances Maurer Beers. Like her parents and sister Dorothy, she contracted TB and was also sent to the sanatorium in Tucson, Arizona. She recovered and went to live with her uncle Frank Troxell Beers, Sr. in Washington state where her sister Margaret was already living. She was a school teacher and helped to care for her uncle Frank. She developed osteoporosis in her later years and moved with Margaret first to Ormond Beach, Florida and then to Orlando. She never married and lived the rest of her life there dying at the age of 93.
