A funeral service for Dolores Ramona "Dee" Burkett of Glidden will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 27,1996, at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden.
Mrs. Burkett, 62, died Saturday, March 23, 1996, at Shady Oaks nursing home in Lake City, her home the last 11 years.
Father Richard Klelbasa of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Glidden will officiate. Casket bearers will be Dennis Ford, Rusty Franzwa, Mike Daniel, Jerry Dentlinger, Wes Bunnell and Phil Brant.
Burial will be the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery in Glidden. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today a t the funeral home.
She was born Feb. 8, 1934, at Elizabeth City, N.C., a daughter of Grover and Josephine Cahoon, and attended school there. She and Don Burkett were married Aug. 27, 1951, at South Mills, N.C. Mrs. Burkett was a homemaker.
The Burketts moved to Glidden from Virginia in 1952.
Survivors include her husband, Don, of Glidden; three daughters: Susan Davis of Norwalk, Deb Pudenz and her husband, Rick, of Glidden and Brenda Lehman and her husband, Roger, of West Chester, Pa.; five grandchildren; two sisters: Almae Brickhouse and her husband, Albert, of Chesapeake, Va., Mary Dozler and her husband, Carlton, of Elizabeth City; and two brothers: Ed Cahoon and his wife, Eileen, of Norfolk, Va., and John Cahoon and his wife, Louise, of Virginia Beach, Va.
Mrs. Burkett was preceded in death by her parents.
